Established in 1972, the Montville Art Gallery was originally located across the road where Mayfield now stands. It also traded as The De’Lisle Gallery of Fine Art and was the one of the original galleries on the Sunshine Coast. The current owners, Tony and Joan Page purchased the gallery and freehold in 1990. The gallery has had only two owners in forty years of trading. The Pages are both now in their seventies and are have now found another art loving couple who they are hoping will run the gallery for the next twenty years or more. Tragically, the original gallery was destroyed by fire in August 1995 and the Pages decided to relocate the gallery across the road to a delightful old Queenslander which was built in the early 1900’s. The gallery showcases the work of more than fifty painters and sculptors. Most of the artists we represent live and work in the hinterland towns throughout south east Queensland. Artists whose work can always be found at The Montville Art Gallery include: Greg Adams, Hal Barton, Adam Bogusz, Richard Bogusz, Lorraine Burns, Ron Cameron, Judy Da Lozzo, Louis Da Lozzo, Lucette Da Lozzo, Arthur Hamblin, Jan Hodgson, Julie Hutchings, Kendall, John Pointon, Lorraine Rogers, Ron Van Gennip, Ken Wenzel and Todd Whisson. Each month, the gallery features a different artist ensuring there is always something new to see and enjoy. We also have a comprehensive website which is continually updated as works arrive and as they are sold. The gallery is located at 138 Main Street, Montville at the top of the hill opposite the Village Green and next door to the delightful restaurant, Wild Rocket at Misty’s. The gallery is open seven days a week from 10 to 5 each day.
